Simultaneous Time- and Frequency-Domain Extrapolation - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on

چکیده
In this paper, given the early-time response and the low-frequency response of a causal system, we simultaneously extrapolate them in the time and frequency domains. The approach is iterative and is based on a simple discrete Fourier transform. Simultaneous extrapolation in time and frequency domains is further enhanced by using the matrix pencil technique in the time domain and the Cauchy method in the frequency domain. The results are further enhanced through the Hilbert transform, hence enforcing the physical constraints of the system and thereby guaranteeing a causal extrapolation in time. It is, therefore, possible to generate information over a larger domain from limited data. It is important to note that through this extrapolation, no new information is created. The early-time and low-frequency data are complementary and contain all the desired information. The key is to extract this information in an efficient and accurate manner.

Extrapolation of Time-Domain Responses from Three-Dimensional Conducting Objects Utilizing the Matri - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on
In this paper, we use the matrix pencil approach to extrapolate time-domain responses from three-dimensional (3D) conducting objects that arise in the numerical solution of electromagnetic field problems. By modeling the time functions as a sum of complex exponentials, we can eliminate some of the instabilities that arise in late times for the electric-field integral equation in the time domain...
متن کاملA Study of Electromagnetic Radiation from Monopole Antennas on Spherical-Lossy Earth Using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method
Radiation from monopole antennas on spherical-lossy earth is analyzed by the finitedifference time-domain (FDTD) method in spherical coordinates. A novel generalized perfectly matched layer (PML) has been developed for the truncation of the lossy soil. For having an accurate modeling with less memory requirements, an efficient "non-uniform" mesh generation scheme is used. Also in each time step...
متن کاملFast RCS Pattern Fill Using AWE Technique - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on
An extrapolation technique is adapted to predict the monostatic radar cross-section (RCS) pattern from a few pattern value calculations. This approach eliminates a need to resolve the system when an iterative solver is employed. A three-dimensional application is considered to demonstrate the accuracy of the technique.
متن کاملOn Modeling and Personal Dosimetry of Cellular Telephone Helical Antennas with the FDTD Code - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on
In this paper, a novel method to model helical antennas working in the normal mode, as well as helix-monopole antennas with finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) code is presented. This method is particularly useful to model antennas used for personal wireless communication handsets, where the fairly small dimensions of the helical antennas with respect to wavelength and the grid cell size do no...

There have been significant advances in computational electromagnetics (CEM) in the last decade for a variety of antennas and propagation problems. Improvements in single frequency techniques including the finite element method (FEM), the fast mulitipole moment (FMM) method, and the method of moments (MoM) have led to significant simulation capabilities on basic computing platforms. Similar adv...
